Chimo

El Chimo is located very close to the edge of the bay, due to which the marine life is very rich and diverse. The bottom of its ocean is famous for its interesting underwater rock formations called “Las Iglesias”, named for their similarity to the pillars of a cathedral.

In addition to its interesting structures, it spans over a quarter mile wide and from 30 feet to over 200 feet deep, so there’s plenty of diving area to cover for more than one visit. Reefs, corals, underwater caves, banks with thousands of fish, huge manta rays and dolphins are just some of the typical wonders of the destination.

In the town, peace and silence are breathed, the fishermen leave very early in the morning and upon their return they bring with them the delicacies that can be prepared in the restaurants of the area.
