The Islas Marietas National Park, is made up of a series of volcanic islands and rocks that protrude from the sea, forming a vibrant and complex ecosystem, it is the favorite site for the reproduction of various species of fish, seabirds and even the colossal humpback whale can be observed nearby, between the months of November and March.

It is undoubtedly the ideal place for those interested in marine life and in diving or snorkeling because in its clear waters you can see one of the few remaining coral reefs on the planet, full of life with endless of multicolored fish, crustaceans, moray eels, turtles, dolphins and more fantastic species.

Outside the sea, they are a reference point for Bahía de Banderas and one of the most important places for watching seabirds in Mexico and the Pacific. During your stay, youll be able to visit places such as La Bufa (the blowhole), El Elefante (the elephant), The Morros Cuates (the twin friends), La Nopalera beach and the most famous, Playa Escondida o del Amor (Hidden beach).

Specifications

Currently, for the preservation of this beautiful enclosure, access is restricted. To make a charter to this destination, it is necessary to select one of our authorized vessels and respect the guidelines provided by CONANP.

* There is an additional access fee to the charter that serves as a contribution to the conservation of the area.

GUIDELINES

  • Access to the hidden beach is exclusively by swimming.
  • 15 people allowed every 30 minutes (This includes the swim time to the beach).
  • Life Jacket and Helmet are Mandatory (Provided by your Vessel & Guide aboard)
  • Entrance to the Hidden Beach (Playa del Amor) is subjected to the Sea & Tide Conditions.
  • Access is allowed for people from 10 to 65 years old. Restricted access to people with a Physical Disability, Heart Conditions, Claustrophobia and women over 6 months Pregnancy.
  • The use of Kayaks and Paddle Boards can be done only on the outside of the protected area.
  • We recommend the use of oil base suntan lotions as well as biodegradable sunscreen lotions.
  • Please do not contaminate, don’t throw trash to the Sea.
  • All visitors must have their bracelets on place.
  • Life Jacket Mandatory for Snorkeling or Swimming on the specified areas for these activities.
  • PLAYA NOPALERA: Access by Water Taxi (Panga) or Tender only, Maximum 10 people per Guide.

PROHIBIT

  • The Consume of Alcoholic Drinks within the Preserve nor Smoking and the use of Radios or Sound Systems
  • Drone Pictures/Videos without previous consent from (CONANP).
  • Sport/Commercial Fishing or Scuba Diving by The Hidden Beach nor Preserve Areas
  • The use of Fins, Mask and Snorkeling gear at Unspecific Areas nor Coral Reef Scuba Diving
  • The use of Guns, Darts, Spears, Hooks or any item that could cause a damage to the flora and fauna.
  • Pour or throw any kind of pollutant.
  • The use of High-Speed motorized vehicles (Jet ski, water ski or any other related).
  • Feed the wild fauna, Bring in exotic species or the access to the Island for Trekking.
