After three days of tournament where 50 teams participated, the big winner of the 66th edition was the El Mexicano team, presenting a marlin weighing 258.2 kilograms.
There were 50 teams who participated in the 66th International Fishing Tournament. At the beginning of the event, the participants enjoyed the music of Mariachi Nuevo Continental, a delicious meal prepared by chef Sebastian Bautista, and of course an excellent social gathering.
“This sporting event, organized by the Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay Fishing Club, was a success and we hope that more and more participants will come every year”.

This year, the El Mexicano team was the great winner of this tournament by catching a marlin weighing 258.2 kilograms, in addition to winning the prize for the Champion Crew.
As a novelty of this edition, the Sailfish entered the Catch and Release modality, as a way to support the conservation of the species. It was the Madtown Anglers team who won first place with three videos presented.
Meanwhile, in the Dorado category, the Valhalla team won first place with a 15.5 kilogram specimen, and in the Tuna category, the Madtown Anglers team was the winner with a specimen weighing 82 kilograms.
At the end of the three days of intense and exciting competition, the members of the Fishing Club took the opportunity to recognize Saúl Barajas Contreras for his efforts and hard work on the board of directors of the association.
